I had an appointment for treatment of my hamstring today and had to be in Houston at 4 p.m. for a family thing, so I went out to the park early this afternoon and ran 2.2 miles on the trails.

- Retired from the Army in 1984 and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 2005. Current age: 82. Began running in 1961 and racing in 1983.
