I drove to Bellville this morning and ran the Austin County Fair Stampede 5K. I finished in 51:24, which is 5 minutes slower than my 5K race last Sunday. The course is very hilly and much of the road is gravel and/or pot holes. I assume that contributed to the time difference. In any case, I was first of one in the 80 and over age group. After the race, I drove back to Huntsville and soon afterwards drove up to Tyler to visit a very ill relative. Got back to Huntsville late this evening. Another race tomorrow.
