It was hot and muggy at the park this afternoon, after a few days of cooler weather. I ran 4.3 miles, mostly on the trails. Never saw anyone else on the trails and there were very few people in the camping area.

Split run
It was suppose to rain all day. It was a very light rain just after lunch, so I started running in town. Got in 1.4 miles before it was too heavy to be running with the defib vest and power pack. It cleared up earlier than expected and was clear when I went out to the park to meet up with the group this evening. I ran another 2.6 miles on the trails. Total for the day 4 miles.

Doctor appointment and then 3.4 miles at the park
I had an appointment with my cardiologist this afternoon and he scheduled another "nothing strenuous for 5 days procedure." On May 7, they are inserting a censor in my lung that will monitor fluids in my heart. Same entry point in the groin as the last procedure. I left his office and went straight to the park and ran 3.4 miles on the park roads, partly in a light rain.

I ran 1.2 miles in town this morning before heading to Conroe this afternoon to see a doctor referred to my by my cardiologist. He is scheduling an ablation on my heart to try to reduce the Afib and help with my heart function. Drove back home and then went back to Conroe this evening to run the Fass Brewery Run. Ran another 2 miles for a total of 3.2 for the day.

Thanks, pigs
I went to the park this afternoon and ran 3.8 miles, mostly on the trails. I deviated from the trail I have been running and took off on a trail I had not been on for a while. It was not long before I tripped on a root and took a fall. Luckily, I fell on freshly plowed dirt and received no injuries. Thanks to the wild pigs. Now, if we could get them to eat the roots on the trails.

Do not know what happened to the fever
The fever I had over the weekend is gone. I still presume it was a sinus infection. I do not recall ever having a sinus infection fever that went away without having to take antibiotics. Now, I wonder if it had something to do with the heart cath on Thursday. This was my last day of not doing heavy lifting or anything "stressful." I went to the park this afternoon and ran 4.1 non-stressful miles, mostly on the trails.

Run in town
I woke up this morning worried about keeping my streak alive. As the day went on, the fever went away and I took two Tylenols. Later this afternoon, I went into town to try to run at least one mile. I was actually feeling better than yesterday and went on to complete 3.1 miles. So far, the fever has not returned.

Change of weekend plans
I got up at 5:45 this morning with the intention of going south and running one of the park runs. Felt lousy and weak and went back to bed. Late this morning, I went to the park and ran 3.4 miles, mostly on the trails. Really tough; even had to stop a couple times and rest. Felt lousy all day and started developing a fever tonight. Based on how my head feels, it is a sinus infection and not related to the hearth cath last Thursday. I had planned on running the Art Car 5K in Houston tomorrow morning, but I guess that is out. Instead, I will be looking for a doctor to prescribe antibiotics.

Split run
I waited until early this afternoon to attempt to run. I went to the park and ran 2.5 miles until a rain storm hit. With the defib vest, I cannot run in the rain. I went back into town late this evening and ran .80 miles, for a total of 3.3 miles for the day. No bleeding from Thursday's entry point. That's good.

Heart problem results
I ran 3.2 at the track at midnight this morning. Later this morning, I headed down to Tomball for a heart catheterization procedure. They ran dye through my system to look for blockages that could be causing my low heart pumping function. They found none and are diagnosing the problem as virus caused. The medication I started taking is suppose to kill the virus in three months. The bad news is that I still have to wear the defib vest for another three months. For now, the streak is still going.

Caught in the rain
I started a trail run at the state park this evening. I should have checked the weather forecast before hand. After 3/10th of a mile, the rain started. Normally I would keep going. However, with the defib vest, battery back and wires, I thought it was best to return to my truck. I waited until the storm passed and then ran 2.6 miles on the park roads. Total 3.2 miles.
