I drove up to Kosse (88 miles) this morning to run the Greyhound 5K for the ninth time. Hot and humid. I finished in 47:40 and was 1st of 2 in the 80 and over age group. Got to visit with a lot of friends at the race and a bunch of us had breakfast at the Kosse Cafe after the race. This was my 30th race so far in 2021.

- Retired from the Army in 1984 and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 2005. Current age: 82. Began running in 1961 and racing in 1983. Completed over 1,350 races, to include 101 marathons or ultra-marathons and 106 half marathons. My normal running place is Huntsville State Park. I am a STREAKER, meaning that I run every day. Good job, as always. Saturday was my 24th. Maybe I can get to College Station on Thursday night this week.
Hope to see you there. With no rain for a few days, the trails will be in better shape.
