3.1 miles, in 2 parts

 Rather than another home test, I went to Walgreens this afternoon and tested for COVID.  The test came back positive.  My blood pressure dropped even more (91/48) .  After speaking to my cardiologist, I went to the track this evening and ran 1.1 miles to meet the minimum requirement for the Running Streak Association.  Later tonight, I ran another 2 miles at the track, for a total of 3.1 miles.  That meets my minimum for the last 2+years.   That gives me 111.3 miles for the month of September and 995.2 for 2023.

Still positive

 I took another home COVID test tonight and am still testing positive.  The doctor had given me a prescription for Bromphen for the sinus issue.  When I picked them up a few days ago, the pharmacist warned me that it could increase my blood pressure.  I have noticed that my blood pressure was actually getting lower everyday.  I went to the park later this afternoon and started on the roads before switching to the trails.  After a mile or so, I started getting tired and then frequently dizzy.  I had to stop several times and hold on to a tree and ended up with 3.3 miles.  I checked my blood pressure several times when I got home and it was unusually low.  Well, no more Bromphen for me.  I had planned to run the Spindle Tree 5K tomorrow morning, but with the positive test today, I guess that is out.  I made an appointment tomorrow afternoon for COVID  testing at the drug store.  

Empty trails

 I went to the park in the middle of the afternoon today (when it was nearly 100 degrees) and ran 4 miles on the trails.  Never saw another person on the trails.  I guess that is good since I may be contagious.

No fever

 No fever today, but I felt lousy all day.  I spent much of the day on the couch, but did get out to the park early this afternoon for 3.5 miles on the park toads.

 I still have a fever today, but I went to the park this evening and ran 3.2 miles on the roads.

Got COVID

I tested positive  for COVID this morning  and have been running a fever all day,   I went to the park early this afternoon and ran 3.1 miles on the trails.  It seemed like 10 miles

Hot Sunday af the park

 I went to the park early this afternoon.  The temperature was in the 90's with high humidity.  I ran 5.4 miles, most on the trails.  This evening, I feel like I have the beginnings of a sinus infection.

No race this morning

Normally,  I run a race every Saturday morning.  In fact, it was last April when I missed a Saturday.  I intended to run the Run The Woodlands 5K this morning.  However, I woke up at 3 a.m. and could not go back to sleep.  I finally turned off the alarm about 6:30 and decided not to make the drive to The Woodlands.  After getting some sleep until about 10 a.m., I got up and went to the state park.  Ran 4.1 miles on the trails.

Back to trails

 After a usual workout at Iron Works, I went to the park early this afternoon and ran 3.5 miles on the trails.

Fass Brewery 5K

 I ran the Fass Brewery 5K in Conroe this evening, for the 11th time.  I finished in 50:36.

Early afternoon at the park

 I made it to the park early this afternoon and ran 3.9 miles on the trails.

Half and half

 This evening, I ran 4.2 miles at the park, first half on the trails and the second half on the roads.

Low humidity

 The humidity was obviously low when I went to the park this afternoon.  Very comfortable running.  I ran unplanned trail course, which turned out to be 3.3 miles.

Sunday afternoon at the park

I made it out to the park this Sunday afternoon.  Once I got over a little stiffness from the 10K yesterday, I felt okay.  Got in 4.4. miles on the trails. 

Woodforest Charity 10K

 I ran the Woodforest Charity 10K in Conroe this morning.  The temperature was only around 90, but the humidity was very high.  I was completely soaked in sweat when I finished.  My time was 1:45:05.  There were only 2 of us in the 70 and over age group and I got 2nd.  Got to visit with a lot of good friends

Sluggish

 I felt sluggish when I ran trails at the park late this morning.  With a race tomorrow, I took it easy with a 3.2-mile run on the trails.

Fass Brewery 5K

 I ran the Fass Brewery 5K in Conroe this evening for the 10th time.  I thought I had a faster pace, but I finished in 51:17.

All trails

 I made it out to the park late this morning and ran 4.2 miles on the trails. 

Cool in the 90's

 The 90+ degree temperature almost feels cool.  Much more comfortable running.  Got in  3.8 miles at the park this evening, mostly on the trails.

Trails and roads

 I had a busy day and did not make it to the park until almost 5 this evening.  The temperature was very comfortable.  I started on the trails and switched to the roads after 2 miles.  Ended up with 4.5 miles total.  By the way, I passed on the Gruene 10K in New Braunfels this past Saturday after running for 12 straight years.  The race deteriorated over the years and it was just not worth the over night trip to New Braunfels.
