Close call

I ran 2 miles in town early this afternoon.  While running on a concrete trail inside a city park, I passed a very large oak tree next to the trail.  As I passed the tree, I heard a loud cracking sound.  After I got 50 to 75 feet passed the tree, I heard a loud noise,  I turned around.  The tree fell on the trail.  Whew!  That was a close call.  It reminded me of nearly being hit by a falling tree at the state park a couple years ago.  The tree fell as I was passing by on the trail.  Luckily, it bell parallel to the trail, rather than across it.  Later this evening, I went down to Conroe and ran another 2 miles at the Fass Brewery run.  4 miles for the day.
