I started on a road run this evening and at about a half mile got sharp pains in my right hamstring. I looped back to the track and finished with a 1.3-mile run. Now, I am concerned about my upcoming races. I'll try again tomorrow.
Retired from the Army in 1984 and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 2005. Current age: 83. Began running in 1961 and racing in 1983. Completed over 1,400 races, to include 101 marathons or ultra-marathons and 106 half marathons. My normal running place is Huntsville State Park. I am a STREAKER, meaning that I run every day.
