I stayed indoors this morning and wrote my column for tomorrow's paper. Later this afternoon, I worked out at Nautilus and got in a 2-mile road run in new running shoes just as it was getting dark. Looking forward to longer and warmer days.
Retired from the Army in 1984 and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 2005. Current age: 83. Began running in 1961 and racing in 1983. Completed over 1,400 races, to include 101 marathons or ultra-marathons and 106 half marathons. My normal running place is Huntsville State Park. I am a STREAKER, meaning that I run every day. Member of the U.S. Running Streak Association, Seven Hills Running Club in Huntsville, Texas, Lufkin Area Pace Setters (LAPS) and the Fass Run Club in Conroe, Author of the book, How to Put on a Road Race.

This weather has been rough to try to get the runs in. Seems like a harder winter this year.
