I drove over to Millican this morning to run the Pumpkinpalooza Trail Run. I was signed up for the 5K. There was a turn sign missing and everyone in the race got off course and finished with varying distances. I ran 3.8 miles and finished in 1:20:17. In any case, I was first of one in the 80 and over age group. I left the race and made the long drive to Humble for my grandson's football game. The 3.8 miles put me over the 1,000-mile mark for the year. I have been hitting that mark a little earlier in October each year, but heart procedures in the Spring delayed reaching that milestone.
