I ran the Reindeer 5K in Lufkin this morning. I finished in the cold (40 degrees) and rain in 50:08 and was 1st of 1 in the 70 and over age group.

- Retired from the Army in 1984 and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 2005. Current age: 83. Began running in 1961 and racing in 1983. Completed over 1,400 races, to include 101 marathons or ultra-marathons and 106 half marathons. My normal running place is Huntsville State Park. I am a STREAKER, meaning that I run every day. Member of the U.S. Running Streak Association, Seven Hills Running Club in Huntsville, Texas, Lufkin Area Pace Setters (LAPS) and the Fass Run Club in Conroe, Author of the book, How to Put on a Road Race.
