I got super early this morning to drive about 100 miles to Missouri City for a 7 a.m. start of the Texas 10 Series Sienna 5-Miler. I finished in 1:13:22 and was 2nd of 2 in the 70 and over age group.

Retired from the Army in 1984 and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 2005. Current age: 83. Began running in 1961 and racing in 1983. Completed over 1,400 races, to include 101 marathons or ultra-marathons and 106 half marathons. My normal running place is Huntsville State Park. I am a STREAKER, meaning that I run every day. Member of the U.S. Running Streak Association, Seven Hills Running Club in Huntsville, Texas, Lufkin Area Pace Setters (LAPS) and the Fass Run Club in Conroe, Author of the book, How to Put on a Road Race.
