2,000 is Near

I have a minor milestone coming up with my running streak. Next Wednesday, June 18, will be my 2,000th consecutive day of running. You are welcome to join me. I'll run the Avenues 5K course at 7 p.m. The course starts and finishes at the track on Avenue O. After the run, you are welcome to come to my house for refreshments.
Today was 1,992. I ran 2.7 on the roads.

I'll be there! What kind of refreshments are we talking about?

I haven't decided yet. How about beer and bananas? Certainly no chicken or seafood!

How many miles does that 2000 days hold.

I dunno. I have never kept track of my training run milage until I started blogging a couple months ago. Even then, I have not attempted to add it up. I follow the rule of the U.S. Running Streak Assn., which is to run at least one continuous mile every day. I do keep track of my races. During my current streak, I have run 137 races for a total of 1,064 miles.

2000?! I might come out after my sessions next week (and run with the pack!).

Ken, my wife and I joined 7 hills not too long ago. I can't speak for her, but I'll be there on Wednesday!
