The cracks in my yard are officially closed

This morning, we had the heaviest rainfall since I moved into my current home 10 years ago; maybe even the heaviest since I moved to Huntsville 30 years ago.  My 5 1/4-inch rain gauge was overflowing.  The cracks in my yard from the late summer drought are now officially closed.  It stopped raining this afternoon and I went out to the park and ran 2 miles on the park roads.
